What is Wellness Coaching?

Wellness coaching is focused on symptomatology, and openness to positive outcomes for whatever may be going on with the individual. Connections between mind and body (psyche and physiology) are often minimized and even overlooked in gold standard medical treatment protocols; yet understanding these connections can often provide tremendous possibility for overall health and wellbeing. From birth throughout life we experience the world and the people within it. Our experiences can be positive but there can be negatives along the way as well. We can have traumatic experiences from accidents, abuse, trauma, relationships with others such as parents, siblings or significant others, and we can have existential fears associated with a multitude of scenarios, e.g. an upcoming surgery or joint replacement. When the psyche becomes overwhelmed the dis-ease within the psyche may be downloaded to the body, the tissue, where problems, pains, and illnesses may arise. Chronic pain, back pain, neck pain, migraines, GI and colon issues, frequent illness, high blood pressure, anemia, phobias associated with needles, tinnitus, white coat syndrome, ulcers, substance/alcohol abuse, and many other physiological issues may arise and lead to daily struggles and decreased wellbeing.

It is possible that the issues you are experiencing now may be associated with unresolved or residual programs running in the background, below your level of consciousness, and present themselves as symptomatology requiring medical treatment. When unconscious programs are potentially brought into the light, where they can be consciously processed, many find relief, and many find more successful outcomes to surgeries or treatment protocols. Hypnotherapy is a very helpful method of processing these programs that seem to run on their own without you asking them to or even wanting them to. Wellness coaching involves talking, psychotherapy and may include hypnotherapy, if you are open to it. After over two decades of providing this service modality, good results frequently happen in sessions, but it is the willingness and openness of the individual to make conscious life changes along the way that makes the difference. If you have reached blocks in your current treatment or find yourself looking for any edge or answers that could improve wellness, then all you have to do is give it a try. Adolescents and adults of all ages could benefit from this form of therapy. This form of wellness coaching, in conjunction with other forms of therapy are not meant to replace, substitute for, or change any treatment that you receive from your treating physicians. Always clear anything that you change in your life, whether medications, activity level, or any other action or practice, through careful consultation with your physician.
